Dione borg biography heading

Dione Borg was born in Mosta, Malta on the 18th of December 1952. He studied Art at the Malta School of Art between 1969 and 1974 under Anton Agius, Harry Alden and Esprit Barthet. In 1975 he emigrated to Canada where he lived for nineteen years.

1994 he returned to Malta and is at present teaching Art at a Government School. He has taken part in several collective and personal exhibitions and his work hangs in private collections in Malta and abroad. Although he often experiments with different media his favourite medium remains oil. His fascination with the uniqueness that every individual possesses keeps on bringing him back to painting portraits, a love which he is not willing to abandon.
